Purpose of Establishing a Website for Hypouricemia
This website was established for conducting a “study on the prognosis of hypouricemia” on patients with renal hypouricemia and xanthinuria. The number of patients with renal hypouricemia or xanthinuria is small and the possible complications and long-term prognoses had not been clarified until recently. Since there are still many unclarified factors of hypouricemia, this study is being conducted to clarify the pathology of hypouricemia and to return its research results to the patients.
This website describes the causes and pathologies of the diseases that have been identified from research to date and introduces medical institutes specialized in uric acid to patients who wish to receive close examinations.
If you are a patient of hypouricemia, we would like to ask you to answer a simple questionnaire intending to clarify the pathologies of renal hypouricemia and xanthinuria. After excluding personal information, the questionnaire results will be used for data analysis. The study results will be published in reports and conference presentations as anonymous statistical data.
